First of all I forgot to tell everyone that we rode 57 miles yesterday. Today was 86 miles the most we have done yet! We are all incredibly sore in basically the whole lower half of our bodies!
Today we decided to get an early start around 7:30 in the morning. We knew we had a long way to go so we wanted to get up early. However, we had to do another pass at about 3 miles and around 700 feet of elevation. It wasn't too bad though and the view on the other side was ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! We rode down our steepest downhill to a valley and the city of Ennis. A beautiful little fishing town whose sign says "Ennis 857 people and 11,000 Trout! We decided to stop and eat beacause alot of us didn't have breakfast and this was the only town for a while!
After this we started trekking on...luckily the road was pretty flat today! Alot of up and down but when you are riding up after 60, 70, and 80 miles it looks alot higher than it really is. We had a great lunch also at a little place in the middle of nowhere and found it had only been opened 2 weeks.
About the toughest thing we had to deal with today was serious head wind most of the day! We finally rolled into West Yellowstone around 6 PM!
We saw Eagles, Antelopes, Cows, Horses, and some Ducks trying to go up stream. Graeme and Norman even had a coyote run out in front of them.
In an early post we talked about a fellow that had a couple of flat tires. Well the same guy had two more today and has had 4 of our 6 flat tires. The name of that fellow is Gavin and he has become a champ at changing tires! Matter a fact we have started calling him flat tire.
Day 1-76 miles
Day 2-56 miles
Day 3-66 miles
Day 4-57 miles
Day 5-86 miles
Total---341 miles
Well hopefully everyone is doing well in there respective homes, and I hope life is giving you all downhills and tailwinds!
